Greetings

23rd Annual Anesthesia Update
February 14-19 2010, Big Sky, Montana

2009 was another successful year for the Anesthesia Update, organized by the Department of Anesthesia at Stanford University in conjunction with Stanford Hospital & Clinics.

Faculty recruitment was a spectacular success for 2009, resulting in another group of nationally and internationally recognized experts in general anesthesia, pediatric anesthesia, preoperative anesthesia assessment, critical care medicine, risk management, regional anesthesia and pain management.  The topics selected incorporate essential updates for both the practicing anesthesia generalist and the subspecialty practitioner, and include intraoperative awareness, anaphylaxis and anaphylactoid reactions, transfusion practices, perioperative pain management, and the benefits and risks of opioids.

Our “Clinical Forums” evening sessions will once again present attendees the opportunity to discuss and debate various complex anesthesia scenarios with one another and the conference faculty, and advance submission of cases for discussion is encouraged. Please contact us if you are interested.

The goal of the 23rd Annual Stanford Anesthesia Update is to provide a first-class educational experience in a pleasing and family-oriented environment. We look forward to welcoming you.
